He's actually the first person to do that kind of posing and allow enough time for each pose to actually see the pose IMO. Some posers who do those kind of flashy things go from pose to pose so quickly that I can't make out their physique, but I felt he held the pose JUST long enough for me to see everything. Just my opinion though.

na man kai greene..here's wat it says..but i dont know how good the source is
"Hot on the heels of Dennis James' Olympia withdrawal, there sre rumblings that Kai Green will be another no-show for the big show. Pity if that's the case because the O stage would have been the perfect forum for him to unleash his inimitable posing skills.
Besides Dennis and Kai other Olympia absentees so far include, Branch Warren, Phil Heath and Desmond Miller"

He is not doing the O
I was ok with the routine until he started doing the worm and doing the handstand part .... WTF?
I dont think **** like that should be allowed. Sure its entertaining (to some people i guess... ??) but it'd be entertaining to me if the figure ladies had a nude round. My point, just because its entertaining doesnt mean it needs to be on stage. Nothing against the guy but stuff like that is why people laughs at our sport. Thats what they think of when they think of us.Last edited by TJ_Strong; 07-26-2007 at 05:49 PM.

No - people laugh at bodybuilding because they find the idea of guys who are so huge that they barely look human standing on a stage and posing, wearing heavy tanning makeup kinda silly. Most people think those guys are ugly, or at least weird looking, and find the whole thing vain.
Don't get me wrong, I love bodybuilding, and as I've learned more about it I've come to appreciate the physiques and the dedication it takes to achieve them - but "most people" don't consider it a joke because some guy does a handstand on stage, because most people don't watch enough BBing to ever see that handstand.

Nah man that was incredible, i understand everyone is entitled to their opinion but did u hear the crowd, obviously the majority loved it. And MJ "Dirty Diana" come on who else could have pulled that off. Good to see Kai finally achieving his potential. Im happy for the guy and BBing in general.

He's bringing personality and uniqueness to the stage. Posing routines in the past several years have been mundane.
I got great looks at his poses and physiques during his routine. He also presented great non-compulsories.
Yep, along with Dennis James, Desmond Miller, Branch Warren, and Phil Heath.
In this routine, he did a great job of presenting his physique while bringing his own personality and uniqueness to the stage. Everyone got great looks at his poses and physiques, the crowd absolutely loved it, and he's gained a ton of popularity and great exposure, all of these things contributing to the struggling sport. What more could one ask for?
It's widely known that virtually most or all of the placings are done at prejudging. Regardless, there are also the finals, which Kai was a part of.
He didn't perform the worm and do handstands during the entire show--only a small fraction of it. It's a great display of athleticism and also brings his personality and uniqueness to the stage.
I'm 100% sure it does, ultimately.

co-signed Kai and Melvin are the best posers handsdown 2day with the most aesthically pleasing physiques imo.
hell yea i love dirty diana no1 besides Kai or melvin can pull that off. IMO the unorthodox songs like MJ's dirty diana 1 of my all time favs, and melvins combo of cater 2 u by destinys child and other creativity other bbers would never dream of.
This is what the sport is all about. The new breed of aesthetics, grace, and poise will soon take over the olympia and the sport.
This is what makes bodybuilding exciting and fun to watch, and isnt the grapefruit thing played out by now?
Kai and Melvin for the O in 08 and 09!!!!**H4TE Crew For Life!** U mad?

U gotta keep it in perspective. Think about being a fan at one of these shows. After about the 5th in a row of the "smooth love song" posing routines it gets a little boring. Personally ill be glad when THAT goes out of style.
Like one of the shows from earlier in the year....maybe the NY pro...it was boring as crap and then Kai came out and did his thing. I imagine the fans were quite happy.
he also hits some nice "classic" shots at the beginning right out of the old John Grimek or Bill pearl days before he went into his dance stuff.
Now, id hate to see it where a guy HAS to be some sort of exotic dancer or porn star performer to win a show, but I think we have a ways to go b4 we get there. As it is right now Kai brings a breath of fresh air to the proceedings
of course I could do without the whole grapefruit thing....I dont really need that on my mind as he does splits and handstands, lol.
I give massive props to Melvin Anthony also. Dude comes out and hits about half of his routine with SUPPER classic "old timey" poses that Ronnie and Jay simply cant do because they dont have the aesthetics to pull it off. he establishes THAT first and then he breaks it down into his own thing.
