What would be considered strong @ 135lbs

I saw this kid at the gym today and he did 165x10...he looked ~130/135lbs...pretty skinny but had some definition.

Would you consider that reasonably strong? What would that be comparable to 185lbs? Like rep 225x10 ?

Doing 30 pounds more than your bodyweight 10 times is pretty good, it'd be like you doing 215x10 or me doing 235x10, which I can't

assuming it's bench, that's beastly. But, it also depends on his height. If he's 6'5" and 130, he couldnt do it (and probably needs a hospital). But if he's 5'0", then he can do it easy at 130. Not easy, but easier.

yeah. thats why midgets can do 2 plates on each side. for me i can do my own weight x10 on bench and i max 25 pounds more then my own weight. i used to max out 30 pounds but i put on some weight after wrestling.

edit: from what i hear the more you weigh the easier it is to lift more then your body weight. for example one of my friends weighs around 210 and he has a lot of fat on him but he can still bench 275 ten times and prob max out around 315.

which reminds me a lot of it has to do with genetics. some people may suck at bench but be really good at something else like squatting or the deadlift. for me i'm naturally stronger with my upper body especially benching and curling but my legs are weak. another one of my friends has really strong legs because he bikes everywhere but he weighs 130 and can't even bench 75.

edit: also while we are on this subject what would be considered strong for barbell curling? its not the best gauge for strength because you only use something like 5% of your muscle mass but i do 73 13 times

1st of all it doesnt matter that it's 30 lbs more than his bodyweight u dumbass

so if some1 is 300lbs ripped, and they do 330? 10 times its good?
    not good.

its the fact that he's doing a % of his BW. 165/135 is alot more % than 330/300

how does genetics play a role in benching? the structure of your upper body or what because im 6'1" and have long arms and its hard, but is that soly because of my arms. i can rep out 155 8 times. people always tell me it looks like i can bench more but its annoying i cant. genetics?

I'm around 135 at 5'5-5'6 and 13 years old and I can rep 165 around 6-8 times.Really it depends on his age with the bw.But my arms are just as lond as my brother and he is 15 and 5'8.

Well, I am assuming your talking about bench, because if your too stupid to clarify then your probably to stupid to be doing squats, cleans, and deadlift. So if its bench, thats oretty good for his weight, everything else, bad.
