Anybody here is allergic to whey-protein and milk?

Anybody here is allergic to milk, and whey-protein powders? Hello all, i would like to know if anybody here has water-retention problems, like bloating, puffiness, facial edema, headaches and adverse reactions from drinking milk and whey-protein which is made from milk? I ask this because even though i am not totally allergic to it, i think i have developed over the years a sort of intolerance to milk. I mean i still drink milk, but if i drink more than 16 oz. of milk a day, i would get a bloating feeling, facial-edema and my face would get swolloen, u know the swollen-face trait.

I am also a little bit intolerant and allergic to other types of foods like starches, even the starch in carrots would make me bloated. If i eat more than a certain amount of food portions coming from starchy foods like breads, potatoes, or rice, i would get real bloated, and feel totally bad.

I have to point out that i have a slow metabolism, because i suffer from hypothyroidism

I would like any comments on this

You're either allergic to milk protein or you're lactose intolerant.

x2...if you're lactose intolerant you may want to try a lactose free powder and see if it changes your reaction

Hello everybody, thanx a lot for your comments on milk intolerance. Well you see i don't have any real bad dangerous adverse reactions from drinking milk like some people out there who when they drink even half a glass of milk get rashes, depression, diahrrea and so on. However if i drink more than 2 glasses a day, i would feel water retention all over my body, bloating, puffiness, which is a real block to bodybuilding and good appearance. I will see if i can buy a lactose free protein

    thanx a gain

You don't have to go into anaphylactic shock in order to be allergic to milk protein or be lactose intolerant.
