Suggestions for "Topic of the Week"
1) Urban Bodybuilding vs Rural Bodybuilding
"Are you more likely to have success in your training if you live in a major city than if you live in the middle of the countryside?"
2) Attitudes to Bodybuilding in the outside world
"When you started bodybuilding, what was the inital reaction of friends, family and workmates? Did you lose one set of friends to gain another set in the gym envoirment?"
3) Bodybuilding (or the lack of it) in the global media
"Are you disappointed or pleased with the amount of media coverage bodybuilding gets, or would you like to see a 24 hour bodybuilding channel? Should bodybuilding be included in the Olympic Games / Commonwealth Games and if so, would it allow bodybuilding to be more accepted than it is at the moment?"

For those who are serious about bodybuilding and fitness, we know that it is very time consumeing and often interfers with our lives. In what ways can one be serious, stay in shape and still be able to have a social life. Better ways to time manage, how to go out to eat with friends and still be able to follow a plan, ways to have fun with family and friends that won't interfer with your diet/routine, ect...

Suggestion
Heres a suggestion:
I see many threads on the subject of whether or not to work your muscles 'till failure on reps. You can ask what are the advantages or disadvantages of working until failure, and stuff like that. There can be a scientific explanation behind it also, I keep hearing stuff about the release of lactic acid or something.

DFT vs SFT
Discussing the pros and cons of both and which one is preferable for putting on muscle. It's an easily debatable topic that would give many people a chance to do some personal research on it rather than saying, "X sounds like a crappy program even though I have never done it in my life and have no idea what the science and rationale behind it is."

Or perhaps just add on to that:
- How do you prepare your diet when you are on the road?
- If cooking for boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband, how do you handle the fact you must follow a strict diet?
- Way to cook a "romantic" dinner, while still following your diet.
- What entrees to look for on a menu when going out to dinner.
- Helpful tips when cooking for big events such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, ect.
List could go on forever, just use your imagination

1. The importance of stretching for maximal muscle gains, recovery, and for functional flexibility.
2. Adhereing to your dietary macronutrient and micronutrient requirements while traveling. Particularly, hotel cooking, airport security screening, "healthy" fast foods, grocery shopping, and untensils.
3. Fashion shopping for the bodybuilder. What retailers make clothes that a bodybuilder can wear and not look like a fat ass. The importance of endurance muscle training
those training sessions( P.T Programs) particularly used by the Army or Navy Seals of using more bodyweight raw exercises and with high reps and relatively low number of sets for a long period of time such as two hours for a single session containing exercises such as push ups and sit ups, jumping jacks, neck ups, V ups, cross sit ups dips, pull ups, diamond push ups etc... how could this affect the way your muscles accept normal training routines such as barbell, dumbell and machine workouts with non bodyweight movements and low reps or high reps with moderate weights? could it alter the work you would have to expend to create a increase in muscle fiber growth? or is it better to not try increase the ultimate strength endurance of muscles through such P.T programs?

Inspired or not?
The world of fitness: What makes us different?
There is such a great differecne between those of us who make demands on ourself regarding physical fitness and those who are oblivious to it. Why? Where do we get our inspiration and motivation from and why don't others have it?

Yeah
keep in mind when where thinking of ideas we dont want stuff like "Whats the best way to stimulate the Type IIb/a fibers in the upper pecs through periodization with the respiration process". Save that for Derek and Layne.
Think of stuff like "how do u mentally prepare for a workout" (good one muscleboy), "what is a good way to gain muscle", and "what can you do to increase your recovery?"
Those have probably been done in one way or another but I cant think of anything else

What is the ultimate natural Mass Building Stack?
So you are a bodybuilder/athlete who trains naturally or maybe you are just coming off of your PCT for a PH/PS/AAS cycle and you want to make the most gains possible naturally, what supplements would you take and why? Discuss these supplements in order of their importance as you fill out your response. Also, include which specific brand of product you favor for each type of supplement you choose and why and include your dosage recommendations as well.Last edited by TravisLehr; 07-26-2005 at 07:56 PM.

realistic goal setting, what to expect if you chose to stay natural, what to expect if you chose not to stay natural. How to determine what genetics you have, because 'you need good genetics' is kind of vague...
OR: periodization in bodybuilding, something loads of people do not use at all and thus get overtrained or plateau prematurely. "Serious Strength Training" by Tudor Bompa,Tudor O. Bompa,Lorenzo Cornacchia is a very practical book about this.
