    pop tarts

    i am currently trying to cut (first time) and am wondering how bad it is to eat a couple poptarts in the morning. i have had poptarts for breakfast every day of my life almost and find it near impossible to stay away from them in the morning. is this really bad for cutting or will i still make good progress?

    i hate to be the onethats telling youthis, but pop tarts are not a good thing for u. all it is, is ajelly filled cookie. if ur serious about cutting u will have to cut that out, and eat something like 3eggwhites with 1yoke and then some wheat toast.

    They're pure junk. Eats oats or eggs in the morning. In 2 Poptarts isn't there like 400calories? Thats a waste of them. Go for a while eating clean then have 1 as a cheat.

    Also, it doesn't matter if you have eaten them your whole life. I ate McD's when I was a kid almost everyday and now I never want it again. Trust me, after you eat clean you'll never want to go back!

    thats sounds damn good right now. oh and i am all down for making sacrifices unlike someone said thats why i asked this question. i am not an expert on nutrition and now that i know its real bad im gonna dish the poptarts starting tomorrow. i guess ill go with oatmeal for now.

    The truth is if the calories from the pop tarts fit in your daily totals then it won't make a difference in your cutting however pop tarts are very low in nutrients for the calories your getting.

    i disagree with that, nothing personal or anything but i feel the arguement that a claorie is a calorie isnt relevent in all scenarios. if i need 2200 cals to lose a lb per week, and i decide im going to get all my cals from cotton candy, hot dogs, and buttered popcorn i would not be feeding my body with the right nutrients to fuel fat burning and to keep my muscle. sure i may lose fat but im also going to lose more weight(muscle too) and thats not what you want to do. i know my example is a little exagerated but im just trying to get my point across. i know what you are talking about though, its not going to prevent him from losing fat, but it may slow down the process whereas if he were to eat oats or some real form of carbs it would be much better for him.
