they actually allow it.
Hey SIM,
what i found out frm my other frens who had brought protein into perth bef was that the customs actually allowed them in and more than once, he told me its ok as long as its sealed. have u gotten ur protein confiscated bef or prob ur assumin that the customs would confiscate it.
anyway, my qn was; have u ever had any experience of actually bringin in protein powder into perth bef? my frens have actually brought it in more than once without any trouble and they did declare it. wat d'ya think?

But I do know that in general, dairy products (which unfortunately also includes whey protein) are strictly not allowed, unless the customs officer attending to you wants to play around with this "grey" area about supplements being allowed but dairy products not

which is cheaper?
Nah. just contacted the customs via email. there u have it, straight frm the horse's mouth. they actually do allow whey protein to go in. its classified under dietary supplements, just declare it and they let me thru. anyway, it used to be cheaper to get it in Oz for me, i know it costabt 75 Aussie buck for abt 5 lbs but over here, i've got a very gd deal. 60 sing dollars for 5 lbs. its converts to abt 48 aussie dollars. its easy to tell which is cheaper.

personally i havent seen particularly great results from taking maltodextrin/dextrose pwo as compared to taking jus solid food with whey protein
once i use up my weight gainer which contains lots of malto, i wouldnt considr going the malto/dex pwo route anymore.
by the way anyone here trains at raffles california?

i would strongly recommend LIFETIME membership as the other offers are rubbish. lifetime would be $4000++
be careful as the people there will most likely try ways and means to convince u to sign up for alot of fanciful plans, but dont fall into their trap.
the lifetime membership is the one and only plan that bodybuilders should get. or anyone who plans to go gym regularly for that matter.
r u interested? as for the age limit, i doubt there is...

Multi-Vit ImportancE??
Hey fellow singaporeans, there seem to be very few bodybuilders who know the importance of Multi-vitamins nowadays. Its great that u r taking multi-vitamins now.
However, it is important to know the quality of the multi-vitamins u r taking. Take some time to review the below and see whether it makes sense to you yea?
Product Quality Checklist
Is the product delivered in a single dose?(a once a day tablet simply cannot provide the levelsof potency needed for optimum nutrition without being too large to swallow)
Are the potency levels of the ingredients high enough to provide optimal daily nutritional intake without compromising safety?
Are the ingredients provided in their most bioavailable form?(mineral salts are not as well absorbed as chelated minerals or minerals bound to an organic carrier.)
Is the safety profile of each ingredient thoroughly researched and evaluated?
Does the company meet United States and Canadian pharmaceutical guidelines--not food-grade guidelines-- for Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs)?
Is the product formulated to meet pharmaceutical standards for full disintegration and dissolution?
Is the product potency garunteed for a specified shelf life?
Is the product independently tested and garunteed for potency and safety?
Is the product manufactured in-house?(or is it contracted out to the lowest bidder?)
Is the product free of ingredients that may have cumulative toxicities (pre-formed Vitamin A and iron)?
