    Lower Back Pain

This is my first actually post so forgive me if someone has already complained about or posted a similiar thread.

Yeah I just recently started working more of developing my back. Whith this I have been doing goodmorning exercise with a barbell. Now my problem is that I run once a week usually 3+ miles as part of keeping my cardio up will I strengh train. But after starting the lower back exercises every time I run I have to either stop or slow down because of the increased pain in my lower back. It actually really hurts. I've never felt that much pain in my lower back except for maybe if I pick uo something wrong that is to heavy. I've been debating on wether it was because the 45lbs barbell is to much for my lower back which it's seems light to me when i'm doing it but the next day it's in serious pain. Or that maybe I'm just doing the exercise wrong. I've always assumed I was doing it properly.

Does anyone else suffer from back pains due to thier back workout routine? and whats the best way to fix the problem.... cause I gotta tell you it sucks balls not being about to run or sometimes even stand up straight!!

I would stop the good mornings with barbell. Try roman chair if you can and see if it continues. You may have not stretched your lower back enough before doing the exercise. Once you get a pain in lower back it takes awhile to go away. I use a roman chair and it works better for my lower back.

The misc is not a good place to get serious anwers on bodybuilding topics. I would try one of the other forums.Alot of the people in the misc are not serious lifters.

Check your forum. Good mornings can be a great exercise, but one that nees to be respected. Also, see a massage therapist. If you have knots in your muscles, you can get refered pain. What this menas is (using me for example) your back pain will be caused by a tightening of msucles in the hamstraings and calfs.

I had really bad back pain for almost 4 or 5 months. Then one week it lessened, another week and it lessened a lot, never had it since. That was 2 years ago.

Didn't go to a chiro or doc because I think both are essentially useless unless you find a specialist for lifting injuries and I didn't have insurance.

I know it sucks, but don't give up hope. Try to work around it. Pm me for more info if you want.

Some people swear that chiropractors help them. I personally find it to be short term results. For me exercising the lower back strengthens it which in results helps as long as I am smart about it. I defintiely do not believe mthat squats are wise to do with any back issues.

I am no doctor but I have stayed in a holiday inn before.

take a week off ure back - also are you doing heavy weighted ab exercises? These contribute to it too if ure not balancing it out with your back. I'm thinking you've either damaged something good or it could be a spinal problem. Go see a doctor as well.

Lower back pains almost 100 percent of the time comes from tight hamstrings/ quads pulling on the lower back.

There are just a series of stretches you need to do. My pain went away in less then a month plus improved mobility.

I am getting bad lower back pain too.
IT SUCKS. When I heard older people complain about it, I had no idea how bad it sucks.

But anyways I overworked my back about 6 weeks ago. I continued playing baseball, lifting, etc and it got worse. Have taken 4 weeks off and it still hurts like hell. I've afraid to weigh myself but I bet I've lost 10 lbs.

Getting a dr. appointment ASAP this coming week.

I have a friend w/ backpain for 7 MONTHS. scared to death that's gonna be me.

    any advice?

Lower back pain comes from tight hamstring pulling your lower back.
