How bad or good is eating a skinless whole chicken when cutting?*reps*

I workout 3-4 times a week, and do cardio 6 times a week. I don't have much carbs in my diet except for 2-3 meals per day with complex carbs. I some times have a whole skinless chicken for one of my meals with salad, is this too excessive in terms of fat/calories? I read that the body is not as effective storing protein as fat so I figured it shouldn't be a big deal, anyone have experience with eating whole chickens ? reps for good info.

Well, I figure a whole chicken has around 200g or so of protein and about 75-80g of fat.

I would never recomend eating 2500 calories in 1 sitting, especially during a "cut". I don't care how healthy it is you are eating....

    but thats just me....

What are your goals? If you are trying to drop weight portion control is one of the most important things in your diet. I don't think a full chicken NEVERMIND you are also eating salad in addition to it would be a good idea. Skinless chicken is good for you YES but even too much of a good thing is a bad thing.

You def do workout a good amount so if it was on a high workout day where you burn a lot of calories it might not even affect you much!!

    Good Luck Bud!

I agree with vipergq. That is way too many calories , both protein & fat, for one sitting.

If you are cutting you should stick to the chicken breasts, lots of veggies(raw & steamed), complex carbs such as oatmeal, brown rice, etc.. (best after a workout) , Lots of water 1-1.5 gallons.

Eat 6-7 times a day.(smaller meals but more frequently)

    Good Luck

A whole chicken (Rotisserie) is the next best thing to home prepared foods. I don't even see it as a "Cheat" if I ever need to eat it.

There nothing wrong with eating a whole chicken as long as you split it up over several meals. Our bodies are not equipped to efficiently handle that much food at one sitting. You may want to try eating a quarter at a time (breast and wing for one meal, leg and thigh for another and so on).

BTW, I have eaten a whole chicken at one sitting and I felt pretty bloated and stuffed for about 5 hours afterwards.

I think u shall stick to breasts only when it comes to chicken

100 Grams of chicken leg has 27 grams protein and 8 grams fat
100 Grams of chicken breats has 31 grams protein and 4 grams of fat.

why u waste calories on saturated fats in the expense of the tasty rich of fiber ,testoterone booster almonds

You want to get to get ~1/3 of your fat calories from saturated fats to keep your testoterone levels up. (Too lazy to link.)

    I know,no need for links,I get this 30% without eating chicken tighs;
I mean if i eat 200 grams of chicken tighs (16 grams of fat) ;it will come on the expense of other foods, but thats me,I eat about 50 grams of fat daily,so my 30% will be 15 grams of sat. fat.

I read on here that extra protein that is not used can be stored as fat just like carbs.

    EDIT:

And the effects this will have on your poor colon...

I have eaten a whole skinless rotisserie chicken in one sitting. Those are smaller birds, and I calculated the whole thing had a little less than 800 calories, which seemed quite reasonable.

    That should answer your question.
How i the hell, did you lose 60 lbs. in three and a half months? Starving yourself is the only way I can see...

No like i said i ate over a full chicken a day so there is no way i could starve myself based on that fact i also ate toast soup and eggs throughout the day as well. I lost alot of weight because i did alot of cardio and my diet before was soooooo bad that anything i eat now is nothing compared to what i did. And like i said chicken is perfect i eat it till im stuffed and still know ill lose weight regardless plus the protein helps alot.

nobody is disputing the health benefits of chicken for bulking or cutting. the point is, don't eat it all in one sitting....

A whole chicken a day is a pretty decent cutting diet actually. as long as you get some veggies and your vitamins.

    85g Fat 0 carbs 200 protein.

Pretty good for a lean cut.
