    Hair Care Products????

Hey guys....i usually don't venture into this section of the forum. but i think you guys would be the best ppl to ask.

so some of you might remember my thread that i made....close to 7-8 months ago. about thinking weather or not to grow my hair out....

Well, 8 months down the line. i decided to grow it out, and now its decently long.....bangs down to my eyes and hair just past the bottom of my hair.

this of course, is really diffrent for a guy whos been used to nothing buy buzzed cuts and ceaser style hair.

Anyways....so all i've really been able to do. mainly cause its all i know, is just to use conditioner. and to straighen my hair.

there was a few things i wanted to ask you guys. just to see if its realisticly possible. or if i should or even shouldn't try it. but anyways, here goes

    ---------------------------

    1) So after i get outta the shower, or just from washing my hair in general. its preety good looking, i don't mean in a "cocky way". i mean i like the way it looks. cause it just falls down and is semi-wavy.....what i'm kinda goin for is the hair type/style that orlando bloom has

    http://metropolitician.blogs.com/scr...o_bloom_14.jpg

basicly, i'm just wondering if theres any products out there, that can keep it soft and wavy? as if i just got outta the shower and wiped it off just a lil bit?

    ------------------------------

ok, heres the 2nd an last one.......

    2) my hair is very thick, so naturally it turns into a afro almost of i don't comb. even then, its still puffy. any products i could use to help make it less puffy? and more appealing? i use conditioner/shampoo, but thats about it.

    -----------------------------

ok, thats all guys. hopefully you guys can help. i'm kinda sick of my hair being everywhere like i've got frizz 24/7

but anyways. if you guys can help out, i would most definetly appreciate it. thxs guys

conditioner is the best to keep it soft and wavy, also use the lower heat if you use a blow dryer.

I used to use Frizz Ease for my hair before I started straightening it.

    ?????????????

Hair just past the bottom of your hair?

Okay, anyways- use mousse on wet hair after you comb it and let it dry naturally for the Orlando look. If it's frizzy, buy a deep conditioner and a shine/frizz serum.

I think mousse works better to make it look "natural". Gel is okay if that's what you have, but for 3 bucks, you could try some mousse. Gel looks stiff sometimes (no perv) unless you blowdry it and that might make you lose that Orlando look you are going for and end up with frizzy hair.

It might, but with gel you could end up with helmet head. Very unnatural looking.

yeah, kind of. It's when your hair is so stiff from styling products that not even the wind will make it move. Gross to the touch too.

Maybe 2 quarters- depends on how long your hair is. Mine is not quite to my shoulders and I use a golfball sized glob.

    so its like.....

    1) take shower
    2) conditioner
    3) get out of shower
    4) dry off hair?
    5) apply moose
    6) relax and let it dry

is that right? or should i not really do #4? should i just shake my head a lil bit to get most of the water off. then apply the moose in with my fingers?

so that it would be like

If you want to keep it soft, you might check into just getting products with a water base, instead of the things with alcohol in them. The alcohol will dry it out quick. What about a light pomade..i think I have some "finishing" or "smoothing" stuff, it keeps it looking nice and styled but doesn't make it untouchable. Dove has a really good line of products, very light, but effective...I'm also a big fan of the John Frieda lines.

Sleep on a satin pillow (good for you face and hair)
naturallycurly DOT COM is a good hair website for curls in general (but mostly female focused)
Deva Curls, Kinky coily me, Shea Moisture and Beyond the Zone are all good products
Also coconut oil is really good for scalp and hair. Youtube is your bestfriend when it comes to tutorials (on products and hair).
