    almonds

Would eating a cup of almonds be a good idea for a bulk cycle? I was looking at their values and they seem PACKED with great stuff. But seem to have alot of fat in them for some reason.

    Whats the werd on em?

    Cool

Almonds are full of good stuff. The fats in them are "good" fats, and can help raise your good cholesterol.
I use them as part of my diet. Example on of my meals is :

    2 tuna fish cakes
    1 Box rasins
    1/2 cup almonds
    1 cup yogurt

I dont use the salted ones, I just prefer them whole. If you get them sliverd they are great in the yogurt with the rasisins if Im in a big hurry...lol

Almonds are great regardless if you're trying to bulk, maintain or cut. They are calorie dense due to their healthy fats

Actually if u do a search on ast's food database ( http://www.ast-ss.com/research/food/food_search.asp) u will find that:

    Almonds (ammount)24 (cal)166 (protein)5(carbs) 7 (fat)15

Sounds more reasonable to me. NOO way u will get 800 cals in 22 almond!!! LMAO!

I think the fitday program exaggerates everything. Values are way too high

almonds vary in size as do cup(Depending on country). Always measure in Oz or Grams IMHO
