How many protein shakes do you drink and when?

I am 18 and weigh 157 lbs. I am curious cause I heard that you should only have a protein shake before and after workout. I have been taking just by mixing a scoop with a cup of milk. I have one with breakfast, lunch, then one pre-workout and one post work out. Should I change any of this? Should I take more or less, or at different times of the day? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I usually take mine as soon as I wake up and then about 30 mins later I have breakfast, rite b4 and after workout, and rite b4 bed...I mix my shakes with glutamine, oats, and 2 cups of skim milk. B4 bed, I add a tbsp of Flax oil and cottage cheese

For me it depends on my allowable funds and dedication at the current time.

I always take 1 (nectar) pre/during workout with dextrose, and 1 (concentrate) post workout with milk.

If im not hungry but know i need to eat then i'll just have one with milk. If im eating a meal but don't feel like eating a piece of chicken or beef then i'll have one.

Before bed with flax seeds, cottage cheese, and natural Peanut Butter is a great idea.

the 2 most important are pre/during and post workout.

I take 40 grams before my workout...30 during and usually 40 after...I eat the wolverine dried turkey nuggets at work, and they have 39 grams of protein per pag. I might throw in a can of tuna for some extra protein...

The only casein protein I get is from the milk I use to mix my protein shakes.

On occasion, I'll have a muscle milk, shake before bed...

I weigh about 225...so, thats probably not enough. I just hate drinking that shat all the time.....
