You can, you just have to eat more calories than you burn. Ditch the ankle weights, they're going to hurt your knees in the long run. In the marines you need a good power to weight ratio. If you want to be big, you better be strong, if you don't mind being small then it is ok to be a little weaker. BTW, never run less than 2.5 miles, in my opinion. If I was joining the Marines, I'd want to run the 3 miles in 18 minutes which gives you a top score.

I've got a couple buddies in the corp. But you definately need to eat more, and gain as much as possible while still keeping a good power to weight ratio. You're going to lose every scrap of fat you have on you when you go to boot camp, and when you run out of fat, you'll lose muscle. It's better to go in with a little extra fat.

Jesus you weigh 125 and just joined the marines? You better pray an enemy soldier doesn't get their hands on you.
If you see the police, warn-a-brother.
