I just got a tattoo a few days ago and i was told if i lift too soon the ink will get messed up. The guy who gave me the tat said 3 days would be enough, but guys at my gym said u need about 2 weeks.... anyone know?

18 yrs old, 6'1", 185 lbs
squat: 290
bb bench: 230
db bench: 85x6
military press: 155X4
dips: bodyweight + 40 x 6
bb curl: 90x6
Ask not for lighter burdens, but for broader shoulders.

wtf? i've never heard of this, i have two tattoos and didnt wait at all really. as long as you arent actually damaging the wound i dont see how the ink is going to get messed up. i.e. if you get a piece on your back, i can see waiting until the scabs fall off to be extra careful.
