the grainier the better, wholewheat, can be just as bad as white bread, with more fiber, its still very processed!

    Check the ingredients.
DO NOT GO BY THE LABELS.

My mom buys "whole grain" bread. On the label it says something like "100% Natural Whole Grain". It's crap. Has **** in it like high fructose corn syrup.

People should just recommend brands and ingredients so he has a better idea on what to look for.

Yeah, I've pretty much given up eating bread as a cutting food. I used to eat it as long as it was 100% whole wheat, but after learning more about stuff like high fructose corn syrup, alot of the breads I used to eat I cut out of my diet. Too much processed garbage in them.

Peppridge Farm makes a new carb control 100%whole wheat. It tastes great and has a good profile w/ 5 grams protein 5grams carbs and 3 grams fiber per slice.

I gave up on bread and went with Mission Whole Wheat tortillas instead. They're great with a couple slices of turkey.

IMO the whole wheat thing is overrated since its still pretty bad for you with top notch ingredients.

I strongly believe that if your going to have bread...make it pumpernickle or rye

Not getting in the debate whether or not you should eat or not. But I do remember Orawheat (sp?) has a light 100% whole wheat bread. It has like 7 grams of fiber, 90 calories, 4g protein, and .5g of fat. And it doesn't taste all that bad.

I personally believe bread is a cheat food.

Natures Own makes a 100 % whole wheat bread that does not have high fructose corn syrup or any additives. Also its in about all grocery stores so it's not one of those breads you have to buy from a special store.
