How many reps for weighed leg raises?

I'm doing 4-6 rep MAX-OT. How many reps should i do for the weighed leg raises? I heard i should do more reps for the abs. Also, do i need 2-3 min rest as with other exercises? Or is that only if i do 4-6 for the raises?

If you're doing strict Max-OT then you stick to the 4-6 rep range even for calf-raises.

Normal leg raises DO NOT work your abs. You feel like they do your lower abs, but it's an illusion.

My mistake I misread the question. That link should still answer your question, just go back a page or so.

BiasedBulldog, you take the focus off the hip flexors by slightly arching your back. This is why it's recommended to put your hands under your bum to cause your back to arch.

Yeah. Normal won't though. Most people just raise the leg without "crunching." You have go into a crunch-like motion or you just work your iliopsoas...

I say it's just a lot better to just do some crunches than have to overcome your Iliopsoas in order to even get any abs in...

I agree that if you cannot get the form right you'd be better off doing regular crunches..
