Just curious, which of these three do you all prefer? Which is the best? I'm sticking with Kashi Total Lean at the moment, just to see if the added protein and fiber will be as beneficial as it sounds. Thoughts/comments?

Kashi way too full of sugar? The box of Kashi GOLEAN I have says 6g of sugar per serving. It also contains:
-13 g protein per serving
-10 g of fiber per serving
-1 g of fat, and 140 cals per serving
Here's the ingredients as well:
Soy Grits, Kashi Seven Whole Grains and Sesame (Hard Red Winter Wheat, Long Grain Brown Rice, Whole Grain Oats, Barley, Triticale, Rye, Buckwheat, Sesame Seeds), Evaporated Cane Juice Syrup, Corn Meal, Corn Flour, Soy Protein, Wheat Bran, Oat Fiber, Corn Bran, Honey, Evaporated Cane Juice, Natural Flavors, Calcium Carbonate, Salt, Anenatto.
Oatmeal is great and all, and I appreciate the advice, however it looks like getting two servings of Kashi GO LEAN each morning with 1/2 cup of milk would yield both more protein & fiber.
ps-banana flavored weigh protein and plain oats is not a very tasty combo...what flavors do you all mix with?

Kashi is good, do not get me wrong, but the beauty of oats is you can make it what you want. The protein in Kashi is Soy, not #1 on my list of proteins.
With Oatmeal, I can measure out a cup. Add a cup of water. Add 2 packets of splenda for sweetner. Then add a scoop or 2 of whey protein.
So my oatmeal = better carbs, better protein, as much protein as I want as I control the amount, less sugars. It does have less fiber, so you will need to factor that into your day.
Kashi is great and all, but you lose control when you eat this processed stuff. Your fooling yourself into thinking its better, but in the long run it is not. Good on occassion, bad as a staple.SW: 305 lbs (June 15th, 2003)

i normally eat 1/2 serving of kashi with 4oz of milk and 1 scoop of whey for:
cals 240
carbs 23
pro 34
fat 4
1/2 serving of oats with the same milk and whey =
cals 245
carbs 22
pro 30
fat 6
pretty god damned close! but with slightly less fiber
I tell you what makes the decicion for me...price! Oats are cheap as ****! kashi is not cheap as ****.
Oats wins the battle! Thanks bakers11 for presenting the argument that made me bother to do the comparison
ps. I saw that high protein total for almost $5!!!!!!!!!!!!! no thanks!Fatloss thread: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=311486

Oatmeal is the way to go for me - as noted above, Kashi has both added sugar and soy as the main source of protein, both things I try to avoid. Oatmeal is one of my favorite foods hands down, and you can do almost anything with it.
Including adding sugar, if you must. I know a lot of people can't stand oats straight up, I used to only eat the packet kind with all sorts of cinnamon sugar in it.negged for hating on pop tarts
