How Much Flaxseed Oil is enough?

I take 2 tablespoons a day at 6000mgs of flaxseed oil with my protien powder. It is better to take the oil straight up(liquid)
But if you take 3 caps a day, you should be ok. Good choice of supplement, by the way.Last edited by 97LT1; 05-07-2002 at 06:44 PM.

With most flaxseed oil in caps you'd have to take like 10-12 caps to equal 1 tbl spoon.
I don't think 3 would be enough. Unless they are HUGE.

I was gonna use the caps too. But stopped short when i found out the liquid form was much better.It's much fresher.Try a natural foods store for the liquid. Sure, GNC sells that form, but i found it to be not so fresh.
Fresh Flax should taste like grass, not ass!

Just use 'em up until they are gone.With so many to take, you can see the liquid is much better. Just take 6 per day. You should be ok. Then try the liquid!

Bump to that. Buy the liquid from a health food store, it is a lot cheaper and easier than swallowing all of those caps. 2 tablespoons a day is sufficient, unless you are cutting in which case it would pay to increase it to 3-4 tablespoons a day.

Not so. Flax caps are cheaper. I use Barlean's at 12 dollars for 16ozs.At 3 tlbs a day ,it goes pretty quick. That's why he went with the caps. The GNC guy probably told him to go with the caps. Either way, most will go with the caps because at 45 dollars a month for the liquid( at the 3 tbs dosage),it can get pricey.Originally posted by TPRES

I find that the caps are more expensive than the liquid.

conveinance cost $$, I guess.
look at...
Transdermals vs orals on PH's.
Transdermals are hands down better all around (except for maybe 1,4 andro), but still people use orals for conveinance.
And typically they pay much higher prices for that.
