I wouldnt bother with the warranty imho. Unless its insanely cheap, no repair is gonna cost you $2k. Plus they are air cooled, not hard to work on.
And you cant have passengers on a nightster. You will need to upgrade to progressive shocks (~$300+), find a duel seat ($150+), and add passengers peg kit ($200+).
First thing you will be doing is adding news shocks, mark my words :-P luls. Also, watch out for speed bumps. THEY WILL RAPE THE BOTTOM OF YOUR BIKE. That bike is low.
But i love the look of them bikes, and they do sound awesome.Last edited by Ultra_Magnus; 02-08-2010 at 06:39 PM.

I almost forgot - wear earplugs due to the aftermarket exhaust. That way - you will only be damaging every other person you ride by's hearing and not your own.
You can make yourself feel better about damaging other people's hearing by repeating "loud pipes save lives". Never mind the fact that loud pipes only annoy at the least and do damage at the most. Never mind the fact that the only thing that has consistantly saved lives is learning how to properly ride.Last edited by Geno; 02-08-2010 at 10:15 PM.

Hey guys, I thought I would contribute to the thread.
I ride a 1985 Harley Davidson FXR (It's 4 years older than I am!), and so far it's been a blast!
It only took a few years of dreaming and a couple months of work to purchase this bike. It cost me just under $9,000.
It's my first motorcycle, before I got my bike I was into racing motocross (KX 125) but now I'm totally hooked.
My bike is pretty stock except for the the whole front end, the bike now has the "cat squasher" look. But that's pretty much about it.
Here's some pictures:
I bought it the day of the ACDC concert, August 22nd, 2009. This is the day after the concert.
Needless to say, I had a great time riding it home. I can't wait to start working on it and getting it to what I want even more.
Not bad for a 20 year old eh?,___,
