I have a cousin who is in 8th grade (6'0 260lbs) Big boy and he is starting his very first year of football. By his size I would say he is DT. Im gonna lift and do drills with him. I will prolly get him on the 5x5 since its basic and works. But I dont know what drills to do with him. Dont have much equipment. Let me know.

i turned 16 last month, gunna be a junior. my first 2 years i was stuck on the line on the freshman squad and JV squad respectivly, cuz i was big andd out of shape, but ive been workin out for like 7 months straight now, aand the varsity coach was givin me looks at tight end in this summer camp our team does, so hopefully ill get to play that.
im also thinkin about repeating my junior year cuz im like a year younger than everyone in my grade . its very common at my school, cuz its a prep school.... any of u guys plannin on doin 5 years of highschool

I play ILB and am starting to seriously crank up my workouts to 4 days a week and intense everyday. I've been lifting on and off before but it usually wasn't serious, and I made little gains. I've got a 4.76 40 and I feel like my tackling technique and my ability to fill gaps and read has got me very far. I really need to gain a good 40 pounds by next season if I want to play varsity. It's hard being a thin linebacker.

Our school is in division 1, I'll be starting Outside Linebacker on the junior team this year.
I'm doing Bill Starr's 5x5, and am debating between doing power cleans in place of deadlifts. Any opinions on this? It's easier to get the single 10 at the bar, than one of the five 8s.
