pretty much all video games bore me. i was re-invigorated briefly with the DS but the wi-fi could be so much better, imo. bit of a turn-off

I concur. I was at Best Buy the other day and I played their demo PS3 box and to be honest I wasn't impressed at all. My 8800GTX blows it out of the water when it comes to graphics. If I had to choose a console system I would go with the 360.Originally Posted by built_filo

Wii is a hit among everyone. Parents, teens, college students, random adults, even elderly.
PS3 is targeted at the hardcore gamer who can afford an HDTV and surround sound.
Considering you can buy two Wiis and two games for one PS3, it's no wonder why Nintendo is killing Sony.

You also forgot to add in Ps2, which has sales of 194k. Who the fuk cares what the sales say? i love my ps3, i can do anything, i can download music, surf the net, upscale all my regular dvd into hi def, i love blue ray, i love Resistance, it fukin owns the Wii anyday. The PSP is 50times better then the DS

big ball of boring. i tried WoW: damn, I dunno how people spend hours just hacking away at all the same monsters. it takes hours and hours of hacking to get any decent amount of strength/money/items. trying to talk to people in the game is freaking impossible as well: difficult to work together. i really don't know how people coordinate attack "squads": they must know each other offline.Originally Posted by Baba_ghanoush

wii has become more of a trend and ps3 has become more of a specialised toy for big boys- not connected to any crew crew -

I don't understand why there is so much demand for the Wii. In all honesty the games look like **** and they arn't really that fun. How much fun can you have waving your hands around? I prefer the regular controller.

i haven't played it but it seems like a "back-to-basics" idea for gaming. compared to NES days (the heyday of videogames), PS2 games are pretty damn complex with steep learning curves. games like Mega Man, Castlevania, Bubble Bobble, etc. all had grab-it-and-go appeal. They have been outselling the 360 since it launched in the States. Microsoft actually wants Nintendo to succeed, believe it or not, atleast for now they do, they eel a two way blow against Sony will cause a lot more damage than if Nintendo was still struggling with a console no one wants. Okay, untwist your panties their, no one is bashing the PS3, just shocking that Sony single handedly controlled the home console market, and now they can't even get the PS3 off the ground.
