I just finished a cut phase for a contest. I had a half cup of carrots in a salad for dinner every day and it worked just fine for me.

Agree. OP asked about getting cut and shredded. That to me says extreme, contest-prep level cutting, not just weight loss in general.

So I am going with Old Supe as the most accomplished and respected actual competitive bb'er to speak up, whose post was obviously about that degreee of extreme cutting about which the OP appeared to be asking.

    Got a question.

I watched the "Raising the Bar" video on Youtube called "The 6 foods that work". I think the guy was talking about contest prep, almost positive he is. On his list are bananas and sweet potato, but no carrots. What I don't get is how bananas can be on there but you guys are sweating carrots?

    Who are "you guys?"

Eat your carrots; they're good for you.
    No brain, no gain.

Carrots are literally like 170 cals for a pound and the one guy on the thread that has Abs eats carrots. I think case closed.
