Yea im not talking about tanning bed, im talking about going outside. I live in florida so u know we got the hot sun, I was thinking of going outside and laying down and sitting down in the sun, I want to be real dark almost brown, my skin color is possible to do that, I tan kinda good, but i lose it quick. How long would I have to stay out to get that dark look. My skin is already tan a little.

Use some tanning oil or some accelerator with no SPF - but WHY would you want to damage your skin so badly?
If you want a tan without the danger of skin cancer, try L'Oreal or Neutrogena self tanners - they even make an easy to apply spray tan.
My man used it and I couldn't tell the difference between when he was tanning in the beds or spraying it on.

Na its my people are dark skinned, but im mixed with white too so my skin is medium.
So I dont think it will damage my skin bad, i stayed in teh sun for like 2 1/2 hours and got a little darker, but want to get almost brown looking. Also how do u maintaint it ocne u get it.
I dont think I can get skin cancer, cuz my family is mostly farm workers and none got skin cancer from all thoes years.

But anyways. I live in FL too and have the same problem. Most likely the reason is I am from the UK, but maybe not. I've been using tanning oil lately and staying outside longer, going to the park and shooting some hopes and been getting alittle bit darker as I go on. Hopefully I can have a nice tan when I go to Australia.I Rep Back!

I aint doin none of that spraying or tannin bed none of that stuff, im natural in the sun person. I just need to know ho to maintain it, i can stay out there for about 2 1/2 hours when its real bright n like 95 degrees, and thats when I start getting a little burnt but it only is for that night, than the red is gone.

Been looking for a way to get darker myself. I don't sun burn, I never use sun screen, I'm already to a point where I can spend 8-10hours in the sun with baby oil on & when I get home it doesn't even look like I got any color. I do landscaping for work, I jog & bike for exercise & go to the beach a lot, always outdoors.
I am going to try a Bronzer, I read that mixing odine in your oil works, but I am unsure if that is safe since large amounts of iodine is not healthy & plus I will smell like **** wile at the beach covered in iodine. Anyone no any other tips to a darker tan? I'm Portuguese & Indian, so I get dark. I use to live in Fla for 3years, I was mahogany or some say literally **** brown, almost black. I'm up north now in Boston so my tan will only go so far with are weak rays but anyone no some tips other than Bronzer, and or if iodine works & is ok to use? (I read to much iodine is unhealthy)
