1 gram of carbohydrate = 4 calories
1 gram of protein = 4 calories
1 gram of fat = 9 calories
1 gram of alcohol = 7 calories
Working on my diet and I can't seem to find how many calories per gram of fiber there are. Anyone know?
Thanks

Not necessarily true. Some fiber is fermented by bacteria in the large intestine producing FFAs. The contribution in calories is low though.

^^^ That's right.
I'm not sure what the actual numbers are though. Unless you have shortened intestines, much of the fiber that doesn't pass and is fermented ends up being nutrition for your gut.
Here are a couple of references regarding this ...

I tend to not include any calories due to fiber since most of them your body doesnt actually breakdown and use.
I am not afraid... I was born to do this!
