Keto til the 4th of July

(moving the thread here to this section)

So my goal since forever has been to get lean, since bulking is easy for me:when I want to put on muscle it's as easy as lifting heavy and eating more.

However, it hasn't been until trying keto that I'm getting back on track to my long-term goals. I guess I did a TKD at one point unintentionally and was amazed to see the fat melt off with lots of work. Now that I started keto, I feel like I'm making progress again and I'll end up achieving my goal.

Which is, to get really lean. To the point where I can see all of the six pack, and the intercostals pop out easily. Then once I get leaned out, I can relax with my eating habits and just work out twice a week to maintain my body.

So I'll be keeping this as a log of my progress, for myself, perhaps some motivation for others wishing to see what keto can do for them, and come to think of it, support for myself.

Cuz it's tough sometimes doing it all by yourself man!

Thanks to all for making the keto forum possible; without it I'd be struggling.

The photo really doesn't do justice to the progress. I can see definition all the way down the abs and the abs and obliques have a noticeable seperation.

I'll be laying off of any cardio or weightlifting for a couple of days while getting rid of some water weight. Gotta fit into some clothes for next week.

the current diet consists of whole eggs and yes, cream.
But it's being diversified a bit again with some good stuff but I'll skimp on that because of the high sodium content.

Oh wait actually these hamburger patties have 60g of sodium and 300+ calories. Good stuff.

I'm also taking a bit of yerba mate and 25-32.5mg of ephedrine off and on. Once class is through I'll really rev it up.

2 steps forward, 1 step back

Well I was planning to try cut the water weight out and see what that looked like starting on the 12th.

    http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com//i.../33564orig.jpg
    (may 13th)

...but I had to eat pizza. So I figured that would start my carb up since I spent the next three days away from my house and spending the better part of my days in the airport.

So it was reallll dirty. 5 pieces of dominoes pizza on sunday evening. Monday morning started off with eggs. Well there was also that flaky sweet cereal with CREAM instead of milk in the morning. (ran out of eggs I believe).

Took my final and went to the airport. I had sandwiches from starbucks. In the evening there was fruit cocktail. Tuesday started off with what remained of that "cereal". Then a piece of lasagna in the mid-morning, plus a brownie. Then get this... dinner.

Two Qdoba burritos (probably 2000 calories in total) and more than a couple spoonfuls of some RICH ice cream. Cold stone is good stuff...I don't think I've had a proper serving of dessert in months.

Then I had half of a Wendy's burger that night. Morning was a frappucino and a danish. Then a chicken pesto sandwich.

Left the airport and I've had three egg whites and almost an entire bag of hazelnuts to get back to keto.

I think I fell back a little bit from the carb up but it was well worth it to fill up my muscles, they're quite full (thank you burritos). I may be a little better off or a tiny bit worse off, but in general the carb up didn't do too much good or bad.

Now we'll see what keto for the next 8-9 days, plus ephedrine + caffeine and lots of cardio will do.

But for now, this is my status:

I can't go by poundage, but I'm aiming to see all of my abdominals all the time. If I'm 173 right now that means I'm holding a bit of water weight, so I figure I'll try to aim for 167 when I'm dry, or being consistently 170 and below.
