I work out on a regular basis. And am wanting to start to loose weight (currently 265 down from 287) and gain more muscle. I was told Whey was the best form of protien. Now my question. I have an allergy to milk, would Whey protiens cause this same allergy?

Probably not. Milk is highly allergenic which is why many people become lactose intolerant. Free range type milk with no additives or other crap in it is fine in most cases for people.
Personally I would try a little bit of whey myself and see if I have an allergic reaction. However asking your doctor first would be best.

I wouldn't say there is a best form of protein. Whey is the fastest digesting which makes it very important to have during your postworkout window, and it is usually the cheapest to buy in supplement form. The best source of protein is red meat, although it could be argued fish and chicken are just as good..

If you can, just try to get your protein from whole foods. But if the whey makes it that much easier to get a good protein intake, try it out. They make pills and chewables and stuff that you can take before eating milk products that will keep you from getting the farts and stuff. I have used them before and they work. I don't have as many lactose intolerant problems anymore as long as I don't eat mass amounts of milk products. If you can, find a whey that is lactose free, I'm pretty sure most of them are now but still look in the ingredients.
