I have to find a happy medium between getting crazy and getting focused. If I get to crazy my technique suffers, and if I get all zen and focused then I loose some of my killer instinct. I try to combine the two.

I yell, "Yeaaaah Buddahhh" as loud and high-pitched as I can. Sometimes, I throw in a "Nuttin' but a Peanut!" Then, as soon as I finish the set, I throw the weights as hard as I can at the wall, hoping someone will be caught in the crossfire.

    Visualization

I am in no way the best of shape or anywhere near my goals (my lack of a pic should be enough to tell you that) however, I am always able to keep my MIND focused on those goals.

One thing that I find that helps enourmously is to use visualization techniques. I will tense every muscle in my body and visualize growing the muscle in the area I am about to work. I do this to the point where I can feel my shoulders/back/legs/whatever actually tightening and growing....I do the same thing AFTER I work out (except without the tensing of the muscles part). Even if this does nothing for my gains, it does massive amounts for me mentally.

I'm not saying if you visualize yourself in a certain way, you will get that way. I am, however, saying if you visualize yourself however your end goal to look like is, you will feel mentally able to achieve that goal a bit easier

Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

I don't get physicial or anything, if I'm gonna get the weight, I'll get it regardless of how loud I yell or how hard I slap myself. I'll make noise during the lift probabaly but not enough to draw the attention of the whole gym for less then superhuman weights, I hate that.

Why would you want to limit any natural advantage that you may have? To me lifting more weight than I have before is a more accurate way to measure progress.

I think about all the ****ed up **** that has Happen to me over the years,or what really annoys me.Its not uncommon for me to be almost in tears or be in full rage on some of my lifts.sometimes I actually have to calm my self down then right as I lift i think about what I was thinking about before.I do not always do this ,but I have broken prs doing this ,and I have broken prs being completely calm.Sometimes I just go to a workout in a bad mood and use that all through the workout if its a longer session i just keep quite but inside just pissed off trying stay calm. For me its harder to stay calm so I am riding a wave of being pissed off and calming my self down crazy as it sounds it has helps me in lifting heavy weight after heavy weight.I have never used juice or other but being natural I have been able to get to some decent numbers using this. For me Its a way to let off steam and stress.I gotten kind away from working out like I used too but I plan to start lifting more .Its a better alternative to what i been doing lately.drinking my self to death so on so on.
