I'm learning that when you're not as strong as you look it's because you don't believe you're as strong as you are. we may never know what we are capable of unless we push ourselves, challenge ourselves and get over the fear of failing. our accomplishments happen because we believe in ourselves and make the goals worthwhile.
Confidence in yourself is endurance for life...

Generally, I can get a pack of bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs for a bout $1/lb. Having learned how to debone, defat, and deskin (yes, I know these aren't all real words) chicken, I'm using up time to do it but saving a lot of money in the long run.
Practice makes perfect. At first doing all this is a slow process, but then you start to act like a butcher when you have the proper tools to do so (good knives go a long way).Short term Goal: To cut back before bulking like a demon.
Mid term Goal: To find myself.
Long term Goal: To get what's mine.
67 lbs in 9 years and still counting... (started at 100lbs)

I myself eat 1lb of 85% lean ground turkey and 1/2lb of 85% lean ground angus beef per day. Personally, I find it works wonders as far as gains. Stick to leaner meats if you like, I only buy 85% lean meats because fats are a staple in my diet at this point in time (because my body reacts negatively to high carb foods), therefore these meats pack a real caloric/nutritious punch. However, go the extra mile and buy organic meats to make sure they are not raised with antibiotics, this will deplete your digestive system of most beneficial bacteria needed to maintain healthy gut function. And as I recommend to everyone 99% of the time, take probiotics daily.
Best of luck!

Two six year bumps in one thread...impressive!!
Bust...since we're on the topic, I'll be having 8oz of 96/4 ground beef for dinner tonight. I go with that or 93/7 while cutting. I usually stick with chicken breast though, especially since the 96/4 beef is like $5.48 per pound while the boneless, skinless chicken breasts are $1.98 per pound.

"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon
