Bad Gym Etiquette

Good article...sadly it still holds true today, over 10 years later. A new one for me is trainers/staff using the power rack with clients to tie up ropes and do stupid stretching exercises. Seriously?

My biggest complaint is less about "gym etiquette" and more about LOCKER ROOM etiquette. I hate that guys feel the need to have full out conversations nude. Mostly it's the “mature" males that do this, I have however, seen a few younger ones do it too. I just find it disrespectful and very uncomfortable when this is happening a foot away from me trying to change. Why can't you at least at a bare minimum wrap a towel around you? No one wants to see all of that.

Not sure how it's disrespectful to not give a fuq about nudity in a locker room. It's one thing if someone is looking you up and down licking their lips, or if you're in a restroom and they're peeping over. Otherwise it really isn't a bother to me if people are chatting. But different strokes or whatever.

I work in a gym and really,seen it all,the "help" that I work with is just as bad-some outright refuse to spot someone,or give orientations,or just help out period,and get away with it cause unless you kill someone you've got the job for life.

In so far as locker rooms,why do old men,with clumps of fat hanging like melted candle wax toddle around naked.Sit down on a bench to put your socks on and Grandpa Munster is naked with his foot up on the bench,junk within inches of you face.

Worse,after a heavy duty multi-hour full body workout,I hit the shower,turn around to get some much needed hot water on my back and there's a guy jerking off looking at me.Some people make me ashamed of being gay.lol !

Dropping a weight from a couple inches from the ground is a LOT DIFFERENT than dropping it from a standing position. I drop **** an inch or two on incline dumbel bench. They're metal...they can take it.

Screaming is one of those things dude...if you're screaming while doing an isolation movement, you're a biddy. If you're doing a squat or leg press, and a little scream on your last rep helps you mentally, then whatever. As long as it's not on every rep, it's cool.

I go to a school full of hippies, ***s, and art students. I'm the only one that uses the gym up here, so it's pretty much my gym to scream in and throw weights around in. 45 Gs a year has to pay for something dude.

Just finished reading all the posts in this...a lot of qualms!

I can not believe no one has mentioned needles however. Is this just the case in my gym? I don't care if you want synthetic muscles and terrible skin, but don't leave your needles around a changing room it is disgraceful.

Wow, Never heard the thing about needles,you'd think they'd be more discrete than that,that's really bad,must really be a hard core gym there !
