i used to eat so strict and keep my calories low from all the clean healthy foods and i was continually skinny-fat... until i recently had to stop working out for a week due to an injury. i ate mostly whatever i wanted cause i was so depressed from not goin to the gym, and my skinny-fatness has gone away. is this the key to getting a good body?-- eating a lot, but a lot of healthy foods and not to be too restrictive?

it depends on what "too restrictive" means, it might mean that you cut out way too many calories before and your body's metabolism dropped & now that your body is getting the food that it needs, its metabolism is normal again.
