    atlas stones

    where could i find a set should i call rock business places like a rock fabractor is there is a thing i'd like to buy a light set to start off with i can make a rack myself thanks for any help

    http://www.slatershardware.com/stonemolds.html this is another place that sells molds. Those stones with removable cores look pretty cool too.

    Can't you just use various sizes of rubber balls from a toy store and plaster of paris(sp?)? I'm pretty sure that's a cheaper alternative and works just as well but I'm not positive.

    But would it be heavy enough if you used plaster of paris? I have a question what would be a good starting weight with the atlas stones to start working with?

    you make the mold out of plaster, than you fill the mold with comcrete. There is this one site thwt shows you how to do it, but i don't know how to post it. Just type in "how to make an atlas stone" in a search

    It is cheaper if you only want one or two stones, but the molds are not reuseable, and most people who make their stones end up wanting more than one or two . The cost of the plaster/rubber balls adds up. Slater's stone molds, on the other hand, can be re-used MANY times,
