They're not bad at all. I use them to add intensity to generally the last exercise for a muscle group.

Your whole routine should not be based around drop sets. However, adding them in here and there is not a bad idea.

once a month per muscle group would do some good if you aren't overtraining already

    because i think they suck

but besides that, it's like any other technique- you're only asking for failure if you apply it to everything rather than sparsly here and there. same w/ **** like negatives all the time, chains all the time, etc...

Using methods like Drop Sets, Forced Reps, Rest Pause etc. too often to push past failure will lead to CNS burnout.

? don't really see how an example is needed. you pick and exercise and do 1-2drop sets/week w/ it. kinda like that.

like on chains i pick a lift (benching or squatting) and (on normal heavy days) do 1-2sets worth for it, then that's it for chans until next week

    What's a drop set?

I do about 4-6 reps for most of my bodyparts. Are those considered drop sets?

No, it's when you do a full set of something and then significantly drop the weight and do another set immediately after.

well, I think they are awesome, and I only do them one set on chest day and shoulder day. I wish I could do them on back day with bar rows, but I dont have a partner.

I do them occasionally, mainly with arms though. I Do them about once or twice a month. Doing them too much could result in overtraining.

do them at whatever exersize it is easy to drop the weight and do another set quickly..you can do db curls by simply goin down the rack and grabbing a lighter set..I will use them on cable curls where i can move a pin and go down in weight. you can use the same method for one handed tricep pulldowns with the cables...also use the cables for delts and use drop sets there as well...cables are convienent for this if your gym like mine is crowded around the db racks.....you can use drop sets on legs via leg extensions-which I dont like to go heavy(I use squats or leg press for that) but do use to get a nice pump...you can simply move the pin as well...same with leg curls.....

I do agree that drop sets should not be over used...I usually include drops sets on one exersize per workout..and vary which exersize I use it on.
