what are the pros and cons of an ECA stack and what is it? I know it helps with fat loss, not sure how. I know it contains ephedrine, caffeine, and something else. Also, how good is caffeine by itself? Is caffeine alone beneficial to fat loss and does it make you retain or lose water weight? What about caffeine derived from coffee, tea, or diet soda?
An ECA works by stimulating the CNS, namely by acting as a beta-1 adrenergic agonist. It stimulates the release of norepinephrine, which increases blood pressure. Combined with caffeine (another stimulant) it is a powerful weight loss agent.
That said, it is not recommended for teens. Nutrition and routine should be the cornerstones of your plan. People who have had a history of cardiovascular problems (heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure) and who are obese should not use an ECA.

thanks, ya I wasn't intending on using one, I was just curious, and I also wondered how much help just caffeine or just aspirin would have on a person? I'm a bit reluctant to try ephedra myself, after I hear about the side affects of jitters and stuff. I took my friends concerta one time for kicks, and I was allergic. I never want to get the shakes again

Caffiene is a mild stimulant and doesn't do a whole lot for fat-burning, per-se. Aspirin is worthless for fat loss.
I wouldn't recommend an ECA for a teenager anyway.
Check out S.A.N's Tight! for a good alternative. I used products containing Ephedra before and it isn't something I'd like to mess with again. Would end up with a beat red face and still sweating like I was in the middle of summer football practice during my third hour class. Crashing from it was never fun either. Tight! has not given me any of these complications so far!
