I drank last night....too much. and took ZMAs before i went to bed. I felt like i was Dieing all day. Was there an interaction?

I always take my ZMA before bed after drinking. Try and keep those hormonal levels up.

I've never noticed anything from it.

hm... why drink durin a trainin period? After not drinkin a straight month I lost the taste of beer and I used to drink a lot as well.

No water, that was probably my problem. I know i shoudlnt drink. i rarely do. I think this was the first time in 5 months.

lol alcohol + zma = dehydration times ten! I just member when I woke up one mornin after drinkin myself stupid and I did not have saliva (how ever it's spelled) till i drank 3-4 glasses of water

Last year I had 1 and a half beers and took 2 ZMA tablets 2 hours later before going to bed. Within 30 minutes I noticed my heartbeat started to rise. I was pretty much lying in bed with a pulse of 130 BPM. I read online that it can be dangerous to mix ZMA with Alcohol and that I should make my way to the A&E. By the time I got to the A&E, almost 40 minutes later my BPM was down to about 115 and they simply sent me home. For three days after, I had nasty headaches and I felt off for about two months afterwards. I could feel I was not myself and could not exercise in the same capacity as before.

Even if you feel OK, I would not mix ZMA with alcohol moving forward.

What happens when you mix ZMA and alcohol?

Alcohol and zma affect dopamine levels in the brain, causing the body both mental and physical distress. Larger amounts of zma and alcohol have a greater adverse effect yet the leading medical recommendation is that smaller doses can be just as harmful and there is no way of knowing exactly how zma and alcohol are going to affect an individual before they take it.



Taking zma and alcohol together


People who take alcohol and zma together will experience the effects of both substances. Technically, the specific effects and reactions that occur due to frequent use of zma and alcohol depend on whether you consume more alcohol in relation to zma or more zma in relation to alcohol.



The use of significantly more zma with alcohol will lead to sedation and lethargy, as well as the synergistic effects resulting from a mixture of the two medications.
