I currently weigh 160, 10% BF, fasting. I've been wanting to do a powerlifting meet to really see my capability, but I am a very competitive person and don't want to show up completely out of my league.
My current lifts are:
Squat: 375 (Easy, could more than likely hit 405 in a few months)
Deadlift: 465 (Easy as well, room for another 20-30 in a few months)
Bench: 255 (Rather difficult, maybe +10-15 in a few months)
With that being said, should I look to getting a coach to help me improve numbers / help me prepare for the weeks leading up to a meet?

Good Numbers For First Meet

A coach would help immensely IMO.
Confidence, skills, addressing weaknesses, fixing form... etc. If you can swing it do it.
Don't wait too long for your first meet - if you don't sign up you'll never do it (says the guy who almost waited until he was 50 for his first meet). It's never too late!

Everyone starts at different places but those look like pretty decent numbers. You are quite lower body fat for a powerlifter (at least compared to some powerlifters). If you continue to cut, I would but cautious. Dropping to too low of BF can cause strength, energy, and performance to decline quite rapidly. I personally feel like at about 15% is optimal for strength training and powerlifting, but that’s just my opinion.

Just worry about hitting PRs or getting your goal lifts you are capable of. Also read the rule book for the federation and practice lifting in a way that you will pass by any command. Don't cut to make weight either unless you are going for a record you are after. If you can't cut efficiently without losing strength the cut is not worth it. Also don't bulk up so much that it is more fat and you end up getting sick. Most importantly have fun and enjoy yourself and make new friends.
