    Whenever I do legs..

    The only thing that ever gets sore is my but. And it gets sore everytime I do heavy squats, leg presses and hack squats. Why is that?

    that's like saying do kickbacks becuase you can feel them in your triceps more, as opposed to heavy close-grip bench

    I was just wondering why my quads and hamstrings no longer get sore.

    'cause you butt muscles are weaker than your quads!!! finish off your legs with 2 sets(10 reps) of hack squats on the smith machine.-- feet forward and lean back & go low brother!--that'll get your quads talking to ya!

    Ditto! I did heavy lunges with a barbell for years, and I had such huge quads that it looked like I had baby asses above my knees, lol!

    To me it almost seems that leg presses work the glutes (your but) harder than any other muscle in your legs. Squats also hit the glutes hard, especially if you go below parallel.
