i told him i wanna play in the playoffs(metaphor for my line of work/passion) and i'm worried about bringing a kid into it. he told me that's dumb. i feel hyper focused and at peace with what im doing. a kid is a lot.

It depends on what kind of a kid, what kind of a wife, and what type of career etc.

If you have an easy healthy baby, wife that works and has a nice ass and loves you to death, and this hasn’t ruined your career, then family is great! But if you married a typical woman, and have a typical baby, of course you’ll be miserable.
