The incarceration is suppose to be the punishment. Now they're going to rack them with debt? They already have a criminal record which will make it hard for them to get a job, now Florida is making it even harder by giving them debt they have little to no way of paying off.

The first thing they're going to do is go back to doing illegal chit to pay the debt. It forces someone (who may want to be a law abiding citizen) to go back to doing illegal activities to make money.

The disgusting swamplands of Florida do not have a state income tax, so they rely heavily on a culture of fees and fines. It's part of the charm that gives rise to psycho Karen's running HOA's and debt collectors chasing down homeless ex-cons.

Nope, I've spent a good amount of time in Florida. The coasts are a nice place to visit, but I couldn't live there. I'm SouthWest mountains and desert for life.
