A theory I've seen mentioned is that Japan does not consume much milk/dairy products and that causes them to develop fewer diseases and live longer lives. Don't know how legitimate that theory is. I've seen one study mention saying that those that avoid dairy products do not live any longer than those that do consume milk. And I've read of small experiments of people avoiding dairy products and as a result saw a dramatic drop in the need to visit doctors, spend time in hospitals.
One doctor from Alabama I remember reading about. He began asking his patients to stop consuming all milk dairy products. Most patients complied but some patients did not and continued to consume dairy. According to the doctors notes there was a dramatic drop in his patients needing admittance to the local hospital. He used to average around 100 patient visit to the hospital a year. I think that was what he reported. After he asked his patients to stop consuming dairy milk products he was averaging around 10 patients needing hospital care a year.

It's all about not being overweight, not even talking about being obese.
If you're over 200lbs don't expect to live very long srs. even 200lbs is pushing it, around 180 would be ideal

Asians eat a ton of processed and fried foods. As well as very high carbs. As mentioned previously I think what does it for them in general is genetics, they are active/walk a lot, they don't get fat by over-eating.
Also Okinawa is where they typically live the longest. They probably eat less processed/fried food there.
If you try to research their diet the libs try to down-play the amount of meat they eat. They eat lots of Pork, Eggs and Fish/Seafood.
Their vegg/fruit intake is most likely not saturated in pesticides as well like Western foods.
