What's the difference between vodka, tequila, rum, and other hard liquors.

If the goal is to get drunk why do you care about taste? Just down it, right? Or am I missing something.

Also what's the point of drinking beer when u can take a shot of vodka and it can do the same thing? Sounds better then pounding beers all night taking pisses and being a bloated pig.

I drink whiskey and spirits to get drunk, and beer for taste. Beer can be enjoyed for taste outside of the main brands. Founders makes great tasting beers, and Belgian Ale's have a unique taste to them all.

So some really do prefer beer for the smooth buzz, get blackout drunk, or for taste. I prefer all three.

Sometimes I will dabble in niche stuff like Scotch Islay which has a distinct and heavy smoky taste, srs. I had some with an old friend when we played guitar together. Strong stuff, but the taste itself is interesting enough to try it.

Vodka is composed mainly of water and ethanol but sometimes with traces of impurities and flavourings. Vodka Soda was my go to on cuts. Still got shredded while having one nearly every night, srs.

Tequila - Tequila is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant, primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila 65 km northwest of Guadalajara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands of the central western Mexican state of Jalisco. (BUT THAT'S A FUKING LIE. Bro, most mainline Tequila is at most 45% pure agave, srs. They'll put 100% on the bottle to sell it though. Shop wisely)

Fun Fact: Tequila is commonly found in Margaritas

Whiskey - Whisky or whiskey is a type of liquor made from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used for different varieties, including barley, corn, rye, and wheat. Whisky is typically aged in wooden casks, which are typically made of charred white oak.

I prefer Jameson, but that's because I would get piss drunk on it with an old work buddy back in 2022. Most of the time I down this in shots, but it's a good whiskey imo.

Example a lot of Mexicans drink purely tequila “pa La raza” even if they actually prefer something different.

Methanol is good for injecting prior to the throttle inlet to lower intake temps but can be corrosive to some internal components

Ethanol has a higher pre-combustion/detonation threshold than petrol so better for high-compression applications including turbos but also high SCR motors

AFAIK isopropanol has not automotive application, it’s usually used for solvents and sanitising agents

Keep an eye out for Founders Brand stuff. Miller Genuine Draft isn't a rarity, but it's a damned good cheap 6-pack sipper.

Dirty Bastard by Founders is great and so is their Breakfast Stout. Also don't sleep on Stouts. Those make great long night sippers.

The fermenting process is different. Pretty sure vodka comes from potatoes, tequila from guava or some chit. Any starchy or sugary plant can be turned into an alcohol.
