Not sure how much it will matter, but I've been hearing about a ton of people who are about 40+ being pissed as hell about it because they don't want to foot the bill for other peoples' college debts. Even lifelong liberals who are talking about switching away from Biden, possibly even to Trump over it.

It doesn’t help him, because the loan forgiveness is narrow and a drop in the bucket. People on one side say he shouldn’t do it, people on the other say it’s blatantly all for show and helps barely anyone.

Total political miscalculation imo. Though it’s not like complete loan forgiveness is on the table when we have so many people from around the world coming in for asylum and benefits.
