what is your favorite retro game console and why

I was a Nintendo boy growing up, NES is probably my favorite due to nostalgia alone, but based on total enjoyment it's probably Gamecube. Loved all the Mario Sports titles on that console, plus Mario Party and Smash Bros Melee which was my favorite Smash Bros. N64 was good and gets a boost from Goldeneye alone, plus Mario Kart 64 was better than Double Dash. N64 controller was retarded though.
