After 650 hours played. I am glad PCcels are finally getting GoT

I mean I hate for these virgin retards to miss out on great games. Sure it was given to PS players for free long ago now, and they will pay full price for it, like the cucks they are, but at least they can play it.

I am 650 hours in and feel no slowing down TBH, another great Sony title, and one the subject matter didn't really interest me. IMO it's the best implementation of open world in a game.

Ghost of Tsushima was awesome. IDK how anyone could put 600 hours into a game though, unless it was some sorta shooting multiplayer or MMORPG.

I think the game I logged the most hours on my steam was Left 4 Dead / Left 4 Dead 2. And those I have around the 100 hours mark for each.

Makes sense when your console has no new games you have to replay the old ones over and over again. The fact that it took so long to get to PC doesn't matter when you have dozens of games in your Steam library that you haven't touched yet.

In all honesty I'll be curious to see the DF breakdown and comparison of the PC version. I may end up getting a PC if the difference is big enough to play titles like this, but not before Sony sorts out getting an actual launcher and giving PS accounts access to their library.

That's where Sony messed up big.

They already had PlaystationNow which could have been updated to be a full blown launcher and join PS accounts regardless of hardware. With their own platform on PC, they could net 100% of the profits and expand their software sales without being pressured to play stupid games of how long to delay versus how long the game falls into a marketing void. The hardware is a loss and takes a long time to stabilize, so people who bring their own hardware would be a path to pure profit.

I think Ghost is 4k 60 already, only thing is it's checkboarded which doesn't look the most crisp but honestly it looks very good already and the textures and so on are already a little outdated vs modern games so I don't expect a better upscaler to do much unless they add in a bunch of the PC features on top of it. And even so I still don't expect a drastic difference. Might as well wait if you have other games to play but if you wanna play it now the game looks higher res than many modern ps5 games. Graphics/performance is not an issue with this game.

Coming up with their own launcher makes a ton of sense, especially when you have the overlay update and even PSVR2 PC firmware from last month, but they should have really started on an official application earlier.

My guess is that their original plan was to test the waters with Playstation releases on PC rather than full on commit to extending their platform, but it's proven too successful to ignore. Especially now when hardware sales are plateauing, so PC opens up a new market for software sales with no effort on their part in regards to spur unrealistically attainable, sizable growth in new PS owners to buy those games.

Hell, if Sony was smart they'd just go HAM on updating PS3 games alongside PS4 ones to release on PS5 + PC for some easy money. Toss in some PS2 classics and rake in the sales because unlike their preconceived, Jim Ryan-induced notion that Playstation players only want high end looking showstoppers, the PC market allows for anything*.

*Then again, maybe some new leadership at Sony will take a second look at the numbers and understand that a large number of most played games aren't super expensive, AAAA games that take half a decade to develop and allow for more titles on the platform that might not meet those unrealistic expectations.

Eh, Loved the game to death. Even made a few threads about it here. Even researched the history it's based from and consumed media relating to it before playing GoT because I wanted to be truly immersed. I was even ordering Japanese food while playing it.

But damn, 650 hours? Tbh, game has no replayability. Once you finish all the side missions and the main story, you won't have much to do other than do what you mostly had to do in the game which is fight scattered Mongolian units around the map. It's not like an RPG where you can replay the game and try out different dialogue options or different builds for each playthrough.

Game is easily in my top 10 fav games ever though. Would replay on PC no doubt just to experience it again witch better graphics and performance
