Here's the thing.... The rate of Inflation has cooled. But Interest rates are still elevated. So this will disproportionately impact any company that needs financing. Which is most of them.

This is the period where stocks dump hard.

Inflation is still elevated, but the Fed intends to get it back down to 2%. It's around 3% with Interest Rates near 5% in most cases. So companies will have to keep refinancing their debt at levels higher than inflation going forward for probably 2+ more years. So corporate earnings are going to be a mess for the next couple years.

For the basket of goods, yes. That doesn't mean Meta is getting more for Ads.

Just because consumer items are costing more doesn't mean these extremely overvalued Tech companies won't face a reckoning when all of their debt has much higher interest rates.

OP posted this garbage earlier this year about something else too, I think nvidia, and got absolutely obliterated.

Totally normal pullback and healthy for the market. Market peaks something like 80% of the time in Q1 and Q4; there are rarely new highs between april and september of the year, and then we will be back up.

Meta had terrible earnings.

Some tech companies with low debt and monopoly status of their products(Google, MSFT) will do well in this environment. However, any tech which is dependent on borrowing monrey is going to get slaughtered. The Startup tech market is nonexistent right now.
