Total Muscle Failure (TMF) on successive back to back workout sessions

Greetings to everyone! It's an honor and privilege to be on this platform. I'm an absolute newbie and rookie in the bodybuilding scene. While I do have a good baseline knowledge of bodybuilding fundamentals and principles, there are some areas that I've encountered that need advanced knowledge and expertise. This particular area for me is training to total muscle failure (total or temporary?) on back to back successive days. The military way of strength training and conditioning is ingrained in me. Therefore, I'm a big proponent of high reps and low weights. For example, I will do 10×20 (sets:reps) flat bench chest press on the smith machine using only the weight of the bar and pyramiding up. Begin with bar weight, add 2.5, 5.0, 10.0, 15.0; then pyramid back down from 15.0 to bar weight after about 100 reps. I'm doing a biceps/triceps/back routine and obviously going to TMF (is it total or temporary?) and absolute muscle exhaustion. So my question for the great people on this forum is: is it advisable and/or ok to do this type of routine on successive back to back days? (same targeted muscle groups). How quickly can the muscles recover from these "burn-out" sessions? And still achieve maximum muscle hypertrophy? (gains).
I'm kind of going for the "dad bod 'semi-shredded' look" for the optimization of lean functional muscle. I've put on about 15 pounds of lean muscle since the new year '24. I'm right at ~ 170 pounds and ~ 18-20% body fat/composition. I appreciate all the suggestions, advice, recommendations, etc. And thanks so much for your time and feedback! 💪💯

First of all, don't bench on Smith Machine.

    Do real bench press.

I wouldn't even try this one day in a row.

If you've put on 15 lbs of lean muscle in <4 months, you don't need our advice.

If we're discussing muscle failure and the options are: total or temporary
I'd always pick a workout where it's temporary, otherwise that may be the last workout for them
