So, I got a dog recently. Only because I have a big ass fenced in back yard and figured a dog would make a nice yard buddy. To detere criminals as well, even though it's a nice neighborhood.
Got a German Shepherd. Have a fenced in back yard with a medium sized insulated/ventilated shed as a doghouse. Dog has garage access as well if I open a side door. Training the dog to be approximately 50/50 outdoor/indoor pet. How does that sound for a dogcel setup? She only pissed in the house once and chit there twice before figuring out that was wrong, waaaaaay easier than other dogs I've dealt with in the past lmao

Is it a puppy? First dog?
That breed will learn fast, as a puppy its a blank slate so spend as much time daily as you can teaching the dog to walk on a leash and obey commands. That dog needs to work and play. So put it to work by training it to be obedient and behave how you would like. It needs alot of mental stimulation, you need to give the dog challenges. Give it specific toys that it can fuk with and destroy so that doesn't become the fate of your shoes and/or other things. Might want to train it not to go bark crazy, and only bark if someone uninvited gets too close to the house/yard.money, cars, clothes and hoes is all a miscer knows

I've had GSDs for the past 20 years or so. They are nonstop energy until they get to around 8 years old, so know what you are getting into lol. They do have a "teenage" period (like other dogs) at around 8 or 9 months old where they will seemingly forget everything you ever taught them and act a little rebellious, but its only temporary. They are VERY attached to their human (like other dogs) so if you are inside they will want to be inside with you, not outside.

Puppy, not first dog in life. Already have it trained to do a couple tricks pretty well. I'm getting her socialized around people really well
yeah I've got the space and abiity to let it spend a lot of time roaming outside.
yeah, seems accurate
yeah I've got potry training and crate training down well, got some tricks going, got her walking leashed pretty well and not all over the place. I think it's a good start
