I've just re-watched "The Tomorrow War" (2021)

Father and daughter story and one of the best Alien invasion Time Paradox Military Sci-Fi action films.

My wife and I became adults in the early 2000's when the War on Terror began. Watched lots of 24.
Hit us right in the feels seeing the Zoe character from 24 in the Tomorrow War.

And honestly the readaptation of War of the Worlds was pretty good too.

But Interstellar is one of the GOATs.

Annihilation was a pretty cool sci-fi movie. This also has a scene that seems to be borrowed from 1 of my favourite books, Book of the New Sun. Although the idea could've been borrowed from some other sci-fi/fantasy writer.

As for the "War of the Worlds" adaptations, I have watched all three.

I think the original is the best.

The 2005 remake was nominated for three Academy Awards. (Budget: $132 million & Box office: $603.9 million)

I've watched it 2-3 times already and enjoyed it every time.

The hopelessness they captured in the first half was very well done. An IRL scenario like that would literally be the end of us. Spoiler below.

And it literally was the end of us when the MC had to let his daughter go in the middle of an ocean rig overrun by the super alien predators. Humanity lost in that timeline. Chilling chit.

I watched The Tomorrow War when it came out, it was an awesome flick. Now you got me feeling like I should rewatch it again, along with Edge of Tomorrow. Was struggling last weekend to find good content. Will give these another go this weekend. Thx!

^^^This, that part was the one that bothered me the most, especially as a father of a daughter.

Timelines and multiverse are the most interesting yet the most confusing parts of this kind of sci-fi story.

Pandorum is of a similar vein as these that’s also worth a watch.
