I've never been to another city like NYC. Idk what's comparable, maybe Tokyo?
Lot's to do in NYC. I'd stay away from the typical touristy chit like the statue of liberty or ellis island or times square.
Central Park is cool. So is Bryant park. MacDougal Street for bar hopping and the meat packing district. Their Chinatown is like no other China town I've seen. Koreatown is cool too.
Some pretty cool nighclubs in Brooklyn as well. I remember going to Output and Verboten, but I think they're closed now.
You won't get bored there that's for sure.

Yes, but you are 10-15 years too late to enjoy safe/normal NYC.
After Rudy left, and the democrats are letting it slip into a communist shithole, I refuse to even leave the airport when layovering.
I spent a summer living out there in 2008 and it was awesome. But none of that is left, everyone is abandoning the city (even my cousins bailed, and he was front end of Barclays making $$$$$$$). Its a violent, lawless, migrant camp now. Don't go near, if you value your life.MАGА 2024. I rep pаtriots, and neg anti-american phægots. No its nothing anymore. It's not what it was. It's not what it became. It's not even itself.
New york, Las Vegas, Paris, Dublin, Miami, Los Angeles,
All of these cities became self aware of their city "brand" and started to cultivate it rather than let it grow naturally.
Would a city in Nebraska properly "pretend" to be las vegas? No. Of course not. They wouldn't get it right. They'd have all the trappings and look and even the crowds and the shows but it would be missing the natural essence of 80s vegas.
Same with new york (and the others)
We don't have New York anymore. We have a city that was New York that became a city trying to be new york.[My wife drank 9 Adios MFers in one night on a business trip with her boss]
