Had my twentieth recently, and went to both that and my 10 year. I wasn't going to at first, thought the same thing as most other people (i.e. it's stupid, I already know and stay in touch with everyone I care to, etc.). Got talked into going with a buddy of mine, and I'm honestly really glad I did. It was an absolute blast. It actually was fun seeing everyone again, no more stigmas between the nerds and the jocks for example. Everyone just enjoying it, catching up, and having a good time. Although it got annoying REALLY fast when you had to give the same pitch every single damn time you saw someone (where are you now? what do you do? do you have a family? etc.). I definitely got contact info and stay in touch now with a bunch of people I wouldn't have if I didn't go.

True but I grew up with mostly losers srs. Half the kids became junkies and a bunch of them got fat and had kids out of wedlock already. From their perspective, I probably made it. Then again I feel like only the moggers end up going to their reunions to show off.

I never even went to my dances or prom so my initial thought is to skip this thing too, but like you said it would be interesting to catch up with people from every social background now that we’re mature adults. Eh, IDK. high school for most was a pretty good period of time. I had a ball in college, and in my mid to late twenties.

I'm currently in grad school (employer paid) and consider myself fairly successful by most standards. and while I don't cling to high-school as the "best days of my life" I do have a ton of great memories from that period. I wouldnt be opposed to a reunion. I didn't go to 10 years, but I'd do 15 or 20.

Aging is inevitable but getting REAPED is a choice. You have no reason , man or woman, to look like chit a mere 10 years after high school. Yea men age like wine women like milk yada yada yada but fact is if you are a sloot and stay thin, in-shape, etc. you can be hot as hell into your 40s and beyond

Also most men look terrible too fwiw at these things. Fat, balding, defeat in eyes, etc. If you are a late bloomer it can be one hell of a victory lap tho

HOWEVER you need to remember a few things...
At 10 years people are just getting started in the Adult Life stuff so...
...many folks will be lying their butts off about how good they are doing.
...those with no significant other nailed down might be aggressively seeking someone.
...drunks can now be drunks publicly.
...The "kids that never left the old neighborhood will NOT show up.
...It can be a lot of fun.
