Waiting in line for a car wash with for more than 1, or maybe 2 cars per stall tops being ahead of you. Those automatic washes take about 5 minutes (manual washes are no faster) so if you've got say 3 cars in line and 1 in the stall as you first approach, you've got a 25 minute-ish wait on your hand. Doing absolutely nothing besides wasting gas and pissing around on your phone. I have no idea how people sat through huge carwash lines with like 8+ cars per line before the age of smartphones, because I can't do it even now.

A closely related one:
Waiting 4 hours in a waiting room for a yearly safety inspection, knowing you're going to have to waste another 4 hours a year from now.
The most soul crushing though is browsing f acebook Marketplace.
I swear it's the ultimate soul crusher. It's nearly all trash consumercels trying to sell their chitty impulse buys.Misc Entrepreneur Crew

going on dates with girls from dating apps
"So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."

So to you guys, waiting is the worst thing ever?
Like, just existing. No pressure to do things, no conflict, however you are so bored it drives you crazy to the point you call it soul crushing.
I would suggest understanding literally everything you do is the means to some other end. The thing you are waiting in line for, the task you will complete when you get to the front of the line, is just as much a means to another end as waiting in the line was. You are preoccupied with stimulation outside your own mind, which society forces an addiction of on is all starting at a very young age. But it is still just meaningless bull****.
Understand you need to make the means the end. Make productive use of that time. Meditating is extremely easy in these situations.
I love my drive to work, I love waiting in the waiting room at the doctors office, I love waiting for my turn to bang your mom in the train. I make it productive use of my time. I would recommend the same.
Also breaks your addiction to stimulus.
I would consider this soul enhancing.
A soul crushing behavior I try not to participate in is concerning myself with the opinions of others.I only read thread titles and my own posts.

Thats nothing.
years ago in Vegas they had this all female comedian show where people actually paid hard earned money to hear a bunch of female comics."To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

I can't get balls deep into video games anymore, but there's way worse ways to piss away an hour or so here and there than enjoying some semi-mindless video game bs
Not a rentcel. I can count on two hands how many times I've washed my car by hand since I turned 22 or so. That hand washing your car for all of your washes bullchit is for teenagers whose parents bought them nice new cars and they've got nothing better to do than fart around in their parents' driveway hosing their car down on a regular basis. I had a friend in HS who whose parents bought him a car, and he washed the stupid thing almost daily for like a year, I always remember lol'ing about that
