Depends on the company. Mine gives a good amount of PTO. I have about 6 weeks. They're stingy on the public holidays, though. We only get New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday and Christmas Day.

I get all the vacation time I need from federal holidays. There are 11 holidays, but some of them last multiple days:

-New Years Day
-Founders Day. The day the company was opened
-My Birthday
-The Monday after Easter
-Memorial Day
-JuneTeenth
-4th of July
-Labor Day
-Thanksgiving which is the Wednesday before through Sunday
-The entire week of Christmas
-New Years Eve

Which is more than enough time off for me. We basically get a 3 day weekends every other month, and depending on how busy it is we even get half days on fridays and lesser holidays like Halloween. I like to stack my PTO and at the start of the new year I basically get a a whole extra paycheck when I get my PTO cashed out.

We get exactly what we agree to when we apply for and accept a job offer. In my case, that's 11 holidays, 1 personal day, and 20 days worth of vacation hours. Oh, and a week or two worth of sick/illness hours.

Unlimited PTO is the biggest scam. It's never really "unlimited" and you likely have to get manager approval. It's also a way for companies not have to offer you a payout if you leave or get fired

Places I've seen that offer "unlimited" PTO usually expect you to work ridiculous hours. Work 80 hours a week, Jack. You have unlimited PTO, what are you complaining about?
